Bracket weight reduction
A commercial aerospace client needed a structural sensor-mount bracket lightened by 40%+ versus their existing CNC-machined aluminum part. Every gram saved compounds across a full production run — but the part still had to survive the same flight-certified load and vibration standards as the original.
Our engineers reworked the bracket's internal geometry from the ground up, removing material everywhere the load paths allowed it, and produced the final part in Carbon-Fiber Reinforced Nylon (PA-CF) for the stiffness-to-weight ratio the application demanded.
46% weight reduction versus the original design, with load-bearing performance that matched — and in testing, exceeded — the original part. Passed vibration testing.
